Street Skaters Test Out Hi5iber Carbon Fiber Longboard // Braille Skateboarding
We’ve featured Braille Skateboarding before. Braille is dedicated to skateboarding in a very unique way encouraging skaters and fans through their platform not only to learn how to and improve their skating, but to try out some of the wackiest, wildest skate gear around.
Braille has always had an openness to testing longboards and longboard gear, but their focus is on how this product is used in a more street oriented skateboard scene like the skatepark. While some of longboarding’s finest gear has a place in the skatepark, much of it is not designed for the more stairs, ledges and rails oriented skater.
In this installment, the Braille crew gets a package from Hi5iber, makers of some high quality carbon longboards and downhill skateboards. We’ve stepped on more than a few Hi5iber boards and they are definitely stiff, lightweight and the ones we tried were well suited for freeriding and mobbing downhill. We definitely cannot say they were designed or all that practical for the skatepark.
Watch how the Braille team fairs with the Hi5iber carbon fiber deck, some Paris Trucks and Seismic Cry Baby wheels while they play in the park.
