Adam Persson won the Mega Grand Prix open class in Brazil this weekend to become the first World Champion of the International Downhill Federation. James Kelly was in the lead going into the race, but found his title hopes slip away in the quarter finals.

Elena Corrigall edged out Georgia Bontorin and Marie Bougourd to take the honors in the Women’s championship, while Connor Ferguson already had the Junior’s championship tied up going in to the weekend. The first season under the IDF has proven to be quite exciting, and we’re looking forward to where things go from here.
