Atlas Ultralight Trucks with Jackson Wells
The new Atlas Ultralight 8mm longboard trucks are here! Hangout with team rider and Seattle shredder Jackson Wells as he explains the ins and outs of these new super light and strong trucks. Want to learn more about what’s new and different with the 8mm vs the 10mm Atlas trucks, peep the post here.
The new Atlas Ultralight longboard trucks are perfect for freeriding, cruising and carving and downhill longboarding. Still sporting all the signature Atlas features – a machined ball pivot, tapered kingpin, built-in speed rings – the Atlas Ultralight trucks are claiming to be the best value on the market. The Ultralight features an 8mm axle through the hanger and eliminates additional aluminum making it 20% lighter than the original Atlas. With a cone bushing board side matched with a cone bushing roadside this truck was created to be perfect for cruising, carving and free riding.
Atlas trucks are pushing to be the new standard for reverse kingpin longboard trucks. Their forged A356 aluminum is claimed to be stronger and more precise than any other truck in the category. With a unique precision ball pivot, an 8mm axle with a machined hanger facing that creates the inner speed ring and a threaded, self-cleaning pivot cup – Atlas offers an innovative ride that is very distinguishable from other trucks in their category.
The Atlas Truck Set comes ready to ride with standard 48-degree baseplates, 180mm hangers, and 89a Atlas barrel bushings. Each truck weighs in at 1.1lbs. Learn more here.
Jackson Wells headed out for a video and photo session with Atlas to put some work in on the new trucks and get some shots. More here.
