Kamloops Longboard Park: 1st Birthday Bash

The Kamloops Longboard Park is, as we know it, the first public, downhill focused skate park in the world. Opening in 2014, the park had it’s first anniversary birthday bash this fall and got a feature in Skate[Slate] Magazine issue 27. Big stoke out to Kamloops Longboard Club and organizers William Chung and Patrick Mutrie for their efforts, the Kamloops Birthday Bash was awesome. So many riders covering such a range of ages and everyone coming together to have fun… no need for permits, no cars or angry civilians to come after us.
