Skate Sun Peaks: Day 2 Update

Yesterday at the Skate Sun Peaks event, most riders got a slow start after enjoying the Sun Peaks night life Saturday night. [Read the day 1 Update here.] After little bits of rain in the morning, it dried up and stayed that way for the rest of the day. That was a good thing as it was the day for timed runs and riders were ready to go fast.

The local EMS med tech Doug House had $200 for the top three fastest times down the course.

Everyone got a few of their runs timed. The course is too narrow and dangerous to try and race head to head.

After riders had completed their timed runs, it was time to have more fun. Mathew “Grizz” Kroetsch, who knows a thing or two about having fun, sat on the inside of the course and held out a fruit roll for whomever could grab it as they rode by.
