Madrid Skateboards 2017 Pro Series Release

Madrid Skateboards has been celebrating 40 years Skateboarding and to keep the hype alive they are dropping 4 new boards for 2017. Three of the boards are Pro-models with Zak Maytum, Max Dubler and Justin Rolo. The final is a Team collaboration board. Peep the new decks and be sure to check Madrid’s brand new website with all the 2017 gear.

MADRID PRO SERIES ANVIL 37.4″ ZAK MAYTUM

L: 37.4″ W: 9.875″ WB: 27.25″

The deep concave and rocker on the Anvil make it ideal for blasting down your favorite steep run. While it is not drop-thru, it does feature an innovative “micro-flush” design for added stability, because you never go full top-mount. We shortened the deck by about 2″ this year and narrowed the wheelbase for increased manuverability. The CNC-cut wheel wells allow for a wide range of setups including narrow trucks and larger wheels. It’s called the Anvil because you drop the hammer on it. – Zak Maytum

Zak Maytum holds up his board, the Anvil, which he used to bomb the Mt. Baldy spillway. Justin Rouleau points to the cover, which he photographed. A blown up version of the cover was on display. It looks epic.

MADRID PRO SERIES TRAPSTAR 36″ JUSTIN ROULEAU

L: 36″ W: 10″ WB: 27″-28.5″

The Trapstar is a directional top-mount speedboard designed for maximum control in high- speed situations. The infamous, and updated, front-foot “Money Pocket” keeps you locked in, lowers your center of gravity, and drives steering from the front of the board by creating a unique drop-wedge pocket, giving you more control and stability than ever before. Deep wheel wells for maximum clearance, wheelbases from 27″ to 28.5″, and the perfect amount of W-concave all come together to complete this badass downhill deck. – Justin Rouleau

MADRID PRO SERIES DEVIANT 35.875″ MAX DUBLER

L: 35.875″ W: 9.75″ WB: 24.5″-27.5″

The Deviant features a 1/2” directional drop design with a bowled-in front end for turning leverage and a radial back for control while sliding. The concave runs all the way through to the drops, with a ‘W’ that fades out toward the front for more comfortable riding on rough pavement. The standing platform has 1/4” of rocker, making it easier to tuck and keep your feet planted on the board when sliding. This year we tightened wheelbase, shortened the board overall, and added 1/8″ underflush truck mounts. – Max Dubler

MADRID PRO SERIES WRAITH 35″ TEAM EDITION

L: 35” W: 9.625” WB: 25″-27”

Designed with input from the entire team, the Wraith is a nimble top-mount built to handle everything from fast freeriding to racing. The spacious rocker platform keeps your feet happy while the mellow W concave gives you more control when throwing out huge slides. Deep cut wheel wells allow for large wheels and multiple wheelbase options let you dial-in your setup however you like. An added layer of Formica tops off this beast so you can trust it underfoot even when things get sketchy during pack runs with the homies.
