Throwback Thursday: A Slice of Stuttgart With Women’s Longboard Camp 2016

The Womens Longboard Camp (WLC) is a wonderful way for skater women of all ages to get to meet others, improve and learn skate skills, and to have fun in an unpressured, friendly environment.

I reported on the 2016 Basic Camp in Skate Slate Magazine Issue 32 after really only getting to spend just a day absorbing the flavour.

It was immediately clear to me that the team consistently put everything they could into providing their guests with an array of fantastic teaching, entertainment and quality eating! Set in Stuttgart, the workshops made use of the verdant parkland in the city, skatepark and was based out of the Flatspot skateshop for accommodation, teaching and party time.

Latest news from WLC is that the 2017 camp will be located between the hills and valleys of the dreamy town Löwenstein, situated between Heilbronn and Stuttgart in the south-west of Germany. Catering to all abilities, the vibe will very much be cozy bonfires and swimming lakes, plus as much skateboarding as you can handle – dance – slalom – minirampin’ and downhill for those who want to.

Please enjoy more of the photos from my time with the WLC and their incredible group during last year’s fun.
