The Kut-thaka | Loaded Board Breakdown
The Kanthaka has left the building! But like most legends of lore, this board’s fire is not out just yet. Welcome the Kut-thaka and let the spirit live on infamous fun under your feet.
Say hello to the Loaded Kut-thaka!
After almost six years of double kick shreddery, we’ve discontinued the Kanthaka. We’ve repurposed the remaining decks by chopping them into awesome mini boards.
The Kut-thaka features rocker, elliptical concave, and wheel well flares in a tough bamboo/fiberglass construction with carbon fiber tail reinforcement. With a trimmed-down, single-kick outline shape, the Kut-thaka is lightweight, compact, and blurs the lines between street skating and longboard freeride and freestyle.
Length: 30.75” / 78.1 cm
Width: 8.375″ / 21.3 cm
Wheelbase (inner hole): 17.5” / 44.5 cm
Weight (deck only): 3 lbs / 1.36 kg
We’re offering the Kut-thaka in 3 awesome and unique setups:
• STREET SHREDDER: Kut-thaka with Paris 149mm Street Trucks and Orangatang 62mm Skiffs
• CARVING CUTLASS: Kut-thaka with Paris 150mm trucks and Orangatang 70mm Stimulus
• SURF SIMULATOR: Kut-thaka with Carver CX.4 / C2.4 trucks and Orangatang 70mm 4Presidents
FUNCTIONAL DESIGN – A beefy tail and compact nose (with subtle dished concave) provide excellent maneuverability and leverage for slides and street/freestyle tricks.
CURVACEOUS CONFIDENCE – Rockered profile and mild concave ensure a comfortable and secure stance. Flared wheel wells increase wheel clearance and create ergonomic reference points for your feet perfect for sliding and general board awareness.
LIGHT AND DURABLE – Dual vertically laminated bamboo cores with fiberglass skins create a light and stiff deck with snappy pop. Top and bottom bamboo veneers increase durability and allow for countersunk hardware without compromising the top fiberglass layer. Carbon reinforcement in the tail adds strength and abrasion resistance.
MORE BUCK FOR YOUR BANG – Because of the “upcycled” nature of this board, we’ve decided to price the Kut-thaka based only on the cost of reprocessing the existing Kanthaka decks. This means that we’re absorbing a significant percentage of overall expenses in order to offer this miniature city ripper to you at a low price that fits the wallet and the locker. Supplies are limited.
